Local Company Saves Woman From Drowning In Her Own Junk

(by Brian Wilson)

There is a new industry in town that is addressing a changing society. With an ever-increasingly aging population, compounded by baby-boomers who want more time with their families, the junk hauling industry is booming.

A Plano-based company is meeting the demands of this niche market. Founder of JunkBusters of America, Jim Brienesse, explains that his company helps people do what they are unable, or don't have the time, to do themselves. "We understand the complexity and stresses of the modern lifestyle. Oftentimes, for example, both parents are working, and their schedules are just too full. That's where we come in."

"I learned that the people in the community had begun to call us the Adams Family."

Here's a story about how they helped Jenny.

Jenny's world became more and more unorganized and chaotic. Her garage was so packed that she couldn't park her car in it. Her attic was so full that the repairman couldn't get in to fix the leaking hot water heater. She had stopped inviting friends over to her house because she was embarrassed by the junk that had begun to pile up in her front entrance. She had reached the point where there was no storage space left.

Her husband spent a lot of time out of town on business trips, so she was left at home with the two boys and the family dog.

"Even at church, my mind was pre-occupied with the state of my home. I began to play the mental tapes. I recalled one incident where my neighbor had witnessed the wall of junk when I opened the garage door. He even saw evidence of mice living in there. Later, I learned that the people in the community had begun to call us the Adams Family. I felt humiliated. We had spent a lot of money on a home, and now it had turned into a zoo.

We were collectors of things that had, in the end, become junk. Well, I was done. I had to do something about it."

"It just got to the point where I became so frustrated with the lack of support I was getting from my family, that I finally bottomed-out and decided to do something about this clutter invading my mind."

While her husband was in Florida, Jenny's friend, Beth, suggested that she make a call to JunkBusters of America, a company specializing in addressing Jenny's problem. "I just wanted some peace of mind," Jenny recollects, "and I was willing to do whatever it took to get it."

"They came and took everything: my mom's old TV that hadn't worked in two years, my husband's old mattress from college (including the box spring), broken toys and old clothes. You name it, they took it - in minutes. They even moved our useful stuff to our storage unit. They were friendly, courteous and most of all, their prices were really great, especially for the peace of mind I was getting in return. I had made one phone call, and this overwhelming problem that had taken over my life simply disappeared."

"When my husband got home from his business trip and realized that the junk was gone, he was amazed by the difference, to say the least. He turned to me, with a big smile, and asked what happened? I looked at him, and simply said, "I got help!"

"I had made one phone call, and this overwhelming problem that had taken over my life simply disappeared."
